Don Bosco Chinchwad organized an inter-faith prayer service for peace on Friday, February 23, 2024, in response to Pope Francis’ call for prayers for peace in the world. The prayer service was attended by students, staff, and faculty members of different religious backgrounds, who joined together in a spirit of harmony and solidarity.

The prayer service began with a welcome address by the principal, Fr. John Bosco, who highlighted the importance of peace and dialogue among different faiths. He also expressed his solidarity with the people suffering from violence and conflicts in various parts of the world, especially in Myanmar, Syria, and Ethiopia.

The prayer service featured readings and prayers from different religious traditions, such as Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. The participants also sang songs and hymns of peace and lit candles as a symbol of hope and unity.

The prayer service concluded with a vote of thanks by the vice-principal, Ms. Mary Joseph, who thanked all the participants for their presence and contribution. She also urged them to continue to pray and work for peace in their families, communities, and the world. She said, “Peace is not just the absence of war, but the presence of justice, love, and respect for all.”
